Bev-E Award Winners 2005

The 2005 BEV-E REGIONAL WINNERS were:

Scotland: Has Beans. Edinburgh
North: Lakeside Café, Leeds (National Winner)
Midlands East: The Chequers at Millbrook
Midlands West: Badgers Tearooms & Patisserie
South East: Richoux, London
South West: Mary B, Padstow

Regional winners were guests at the BSA Annual Industry Dinner at the BSA Eurobev Convention, Northampton in October where LAKESIDE CAFÉ was announced the national winner of the 2005 BEV-E AWARDS.

The Lakeside Café, which overlooks the picturesque Waterloo Lake in Roundhay Park, Leeds, was originally a council-run Tea Rooms. Just 9 months ago, it was taken over by David Rogers, who also operates the Cavendish Pavilion Restaurant in Bilton Abbey, nr Skipton, and also the Falls Café sited near the Waterfalls in Ingelton - both in North Yorkshire.

With such experience of scenic locations, clearly David and his team know how to maximise the appeal of their locations, and his knowledge and expertise has brought style, service and ambience to Roundhay Park – to the delight and benefit of Leeds residents and visitors.
